What stays on your Mac
Brunvo keeps your terminals and scrollback on your Mac and excludes terminal content from analytics and crash reports. Your programs and agent CLIs make their own network connections; support receives what you choose to send. Brunvo never reads, stores, or copies the credentials of the agent CLIs it runs; each CLI signs in through its own flow. The security page covers the rest, including the account and the website.
Usage statistics
Analytics start off on Macs set to the EU, EEA, UK, or Switzerland, and when the region is unknown; elsewhere they start on. You can change the choice in Settings or setup.
To find and fix bugs, Brunvo can send counts and timings: how long a launch took, whether the last run ended cleanly, how long the app ran, which Settings panes and features (a split, a new desk) were used, and how the setup assistant went. The list of what may be sent is fixed in the app and checked again by the server; anything else is refused.
Never sent: terminal content, scrollback, commands, typed input, prompts, transcripts, paths, repository, branch, or issue names, environment values, user names, provider accounts, GitHub tokens, or your account id.
- See exactly what would be sent: Settings ▸ Privacy & Permissions ▸ Show… displays the next batch as it would leave, the never-sent list, and the privacy policy.
- Turn it off: Settings ▸ Privacy & Permissions. Off stops collecting at once and deletes everything waiting to be sent, including the random install id. It is a per-profile setting; the setup assistant asks too.
Crash reports (off unless you say yes)
Crash reports are opt-in. After the first crash, Brunvo asks once. Before the first send you see a report exactly as it would be sent, and choose Send Crash Reports or Don't Send (which also deletes the reports waiting). Once you consent and review, later reports can send automatically while reporting stays on.
Settings ▸ Privacy & Permissions ▸ Crash Reports turns reporting on or off, shows the reports waiting (Review…, Delete), and the ones already sent. Turning it off deletes what is waiting and stops collecting. This choice is only ever made in the app: no command, agent, or imported settings file can turn it on.
Contacting support
Help ▸ Report a Problem or Idea… opens the Support window. Choose Attach Diagnostics… to gather and read the whole report, then Add to Request to attach it as a removable text file. Nothing is gathered before you open that sheet, and nothing is sent until you press Send in the request form. Screenshots and other files are only the ones you choose.
The report contains counts, versions, states, settings key names, and error codes. It excludes terminal content, commands, file or folder paths, repository or profile names, and credentials.
For questions, billing, or when the Support window is unavailable, Help ▸ Contact Support by Email… prepares an email to support@brunvo.com. Its separate Attach diagnostics switch starts off; turn it on to gather and review the report. You send the message from your mail app.
The website
brunvo.com sets no cookies on its public pages and runs no website analytics. Your account and its data can be downloaded or deleted from your account page.
The privacy policy is the authority on what is collected, why, and for how long; this page describes how the app behaves.
