What you need
- A Mac with Apple silicon.
- macOS 14 or later.
- The agent CLIs you want Brunvo to run, installed and signed in by you (the agents guide has each one's install commands). Brunvo works as a terminal without any of them.
Download and install
- Download the disk image from the download page. It shows the file's SHA-256; to check it, run
shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/Brunvo-*.dmgand compare. - Open the disk image and drag Brunvo onto the Applications folder beside it.
- Open Brunvo from Applications. The first time, the setup assistant walks you through the rest.
If you open Brunvo from the disk image or your Downloads folder, it asks to move itself to Applications first: its background service, which keeps your sessions running, and its updates need it there.
The brunvo command
Each time Brunvo opens from Applications, it links ~/.brunvo/bin/brunvo to the command inside the app, and repairs that link if it is missing or points somewhere else. Every tab Brunvo opens already has ~/.brunvo/bin on its PATH. To use the command in other terminals too, add this line to your shell's profile (the setup assistant copies it for you):
export PATH="$HOME/.brunvo/bin:$PATH"
The command line guide lists everything it does.
Updates
Brunvo checks for updates itself; Brunvo ▸ Check for Updates… checks now. Your terminals run in their own session processes, apart from the window and background service, so they keep running while Brunvo quits, updates, and opens again. After an update, Brunvo restarts its service when the bundled service has changed; your sessions are kept.
